It’s Been a While

Hello again everyone.

It’s been a while since our last update, but it’s high time we got this show back on the road. When it comes to this blog, the last year has been a quiet one, for several reasons. We’ve already mentioned that for most of us working on this project, WWWest-Online is something we’re doing in our free time, and quite often the demands and realities of real life take precedence. And though we haven’t let silly things like our jobs and such keep us from actually working on the project, I have to admit we have let them affect our priorities, and most of the time spent working on WWWest-Online was spent doing design or code work, and we kept putting off the “writing about it” part, and for that we apologize.

So what have we been up to? Read the rest of this entry »

Which Came First, The Tire or The Wheel?

When I check the timeline I look at every year to see that everything is written correctly. While doing this, I noticed that 1846 saw the patenting of the pneumatic tire, and I thought it would be interesting to check a little about it.

A short trip back to the roots: Before the tire there was the wheel. The invention of the wheel is one of man’s greatest achievements, and is attributed to ancient Mesopotamia, in the 5th Millennium BC.

Not all the events that the timeline includes so far were known to me, and some of them actually surprised me quite a bit. While I was searching I surprised to find out that Read the rest of this entry »

Clothing in the Wild West – Jeans

When you search for information you might find out information that you didn’t know. That’s one of the parts that I love :) . One of my tasks was to research and learn about clothing in the wild west. I looked for anything that could help me, like photos and descriptions. Read the rest of this entry »

A little bit about Stego

After Kraz & Scopti introduced me, I’ll tell you a little bit about myself… myself :) .

I’m Stego, and as you heard I’m in charge of the information gathering. I’m a student going for my BA in Information Science, which I love, so this falls right in my field of interest. I love to search for information. It fills me with joy to find what I looked for or to find information that I didn’t know.

Another love of mine is history. Ever since I can remember myself I was interested in history. Maybe because it’s in my genes. My father Loves history and because of that our house looks like a library. We’ve got so many books laying around that we don’t know where to put them, Heck, even our bedroom closets are full of them…
