We’ve mentioned before that with WWWest-Online, we don’t just want to entertain you; we want to provide some historical information, too. And since, as the saying goes, it’s never too soon to start (or perhaps “there’s no time like the present.” Take your pick…) within the month we will start providing you with tidbits of information about the Old West era, one day at a time. Hello again everyone.

It’s been a while since our last update, but it’s high time we got this show back on the road. When it comes to this blog, the last year has been a quiet one, for several reasons. We’ve already mentioned that for most of us working on this project, WWWest-Online is something we’re doing in our free time, and quite often the demands and realities of real life take precedence. And though we haven’t let silly things like our jobs and such keep us from actually working on the project, I have to admit we have let them affect our priorities, and most of the time spent working on WWWest-Online was spent doing design or code work, and we kept putting off the “writing about it” part, and for that we apologize.

Today we’d like to introduce another member of the WWWest-Online team, who goes by the name of Dikla. Dikla is a graphic designer and illustrator, and has been doing that for a living for several years now (though she’s been doing it for fun since forever. That’s right, before dinosaurs). We’re still hard at work gathering all the information needed to build a world based on the Old West. What started out as a little information gathering project turned out to be very large scaled. We knew from the start that we want to have some content in the game. Some depth and some facts. We want this game to be an enjoyable place for everyone to gather and spend time in, but at the same time we want our players to gain something from their time with us, other than pure enjoyment. Information, or knowledge, is a strong tool that we can give our players, one which they can even unknowingly get from their time spent in the WWWest-Online world. Read the rest of this entry »
